Plumbers
AI receptionist for plumbers
The phone rings while you are under a sink or driving to the next job. The caller may be a leak, a quote, or someone who will try the next number if you do not pick up.
An answering tool is only useful here if it can follow your rules: what counts as an emergency, the call-out price you actually charge, and whether it may touch the diary. A homepage that says it handles trades is not the same thing as a recorded call.
PickedUp has not run a plumbing script yet. There is no burst-pipe recording on this site. The comparison lists services that publish a UK number, or, in one case, a setup tutorial for a +44 number. The calculator turns your own figures into missed calls and, if you add a win rate, an estimate of lost jobs.
Ask before you pay
- What happens to an out-of-hours leak: a transfer, a text, or a message in the morning?
- Does it read the postcode back, and does it quote the call-out fee you typed in?
- Can you keep your current number, and is the new number a UK one?
- What is included at your real call volume, and what happens after that allowance?
Calculator
The calculator link opens with made-up figures so you can see the arithmetic. They are not a UK average, a survey, or a claim about plumbing jobs. Replace every box.
